Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has won two top awards for his role in the West End production Equus. The 18-year-old was named as Newcomer of the Year and won the Theatre Event of the Year prize.

The Best New Musical was Hairspray with the ceremony taking place on Sunday at the Lyric Theatre in London.
