Ha! I grabbed this opportunity to come back home because Abhishek had to attend an event. I came back to see my father. That’s been a gnawing concern all through ever since my father fell ill.
The first couple of the Unforgettable shows were really difficult because I didn’t get enough time to rehearse. But after that…it’s been fantastic.
In spite of the fact that you couldn’t rehearse enough?
I was ill for three weeks before we left. I’ve never been so ill in my life. I was on antibiotics throughout. I barely had five days to rehearse before we left. Only I know what it took for me to look chipper at the press conference.
How could you dance after getting up from your illness?
The first two shows were really tough on me. I was still regaining my physical energy. I had to do everything in my power to not let my post-illness weakness show. I practically learnt my steps during the shows. I just had the last 3-4 nights to first watch the acts and then try to learn them, prepare my costumes.
I know you hate going on stage without enough rehearsals.
But that’s the story of my life. I’m so busy with my films I only get 4-5 nights to rehearse before going on stage. This (The Unforgettable tour) was actually the first time I had a couple of weeks to rehearse. Those were taken away from me. We were all smiling about it.

 Sirius Black crushes young Harry Potter’s innocence forever!See, Gary Oldman played sketchy wizard Black in several Potter flicks, and he still keeps in touch with series star Daniel Radcliffe. During this week’s press junket for The Dark Knight, Oldman dished on a recent chat with Radcliffe that, like, totally destroyed the young actor’s childlike naïveté.
Oldman doesn’t have any scenes in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—being released in two parts starting in 2010—but that doesn’t mean he’s out of the Hogwarts loop.
“[Daniel] called me up to say that [Deathly Hallows] was going to be in two parts,” Oldmen said. “‘It’s just so dense, so much material, that’s why,’ he says.

 The Spider-Man actress who recently left rehab after being treated for an undisclosed problem has been spending a lot of time with her All Good Things co-star, sparking rumours they are more than just friends.
A fellow diner who saw the pair enjoying a romantic meal at New York’s Freeman’s restaurant on Saturday said, “They were definitely acting like they were on a date.
They lingered there for hours.” Last month, it was claimed Kirsten was dating a fellow patient at Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab centre.
A source said, “The staff have asked the two of them to separate many times. She sits on his lap while smoking cigarettes and they often take walks together. He has even phoned his mother and asked her to send Kirsten flowers from him. He is trying to be as romantic as it is possible to be in rehab.”
Kirsten who split from Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell last year previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal before splitting from him in 2004.

 KXAS-TV/NBC 5’s March decision to fire meteorologist Rebecca Miller after nearly 17 years with the station incited a stormy response from viewers. But expect clear skies ahead when the station’s newest hire Jennifer Lopez, a network meteorologist on The Weather Channel since 2000, begins in June.
Lopez, a native of St. Augustine, Fla., was hired after a nationwide search. She will forecast and present the weather during NBC 5 News from 5-7 a.m. weekdays.
The similarities between the meteorologist and the actress/singer Jennifer Lopez end with the name. The meteorologist’s husband is a Southwest Airlines pilot and on military leave to help relocate a Navy DC-9 squadron from Atlanta to Fort Worth.
Lopez joins NBC 5’s meteorology team, which consists of Steve MacLaughlin and James Aydelott and is headed by Chief Meteorologist David Finfrock.

 Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe reveals his magic wand to Broadway audiences this September playing a tormented stable boy in Equus. Radcliffe reprises the role that garnered him critical acclaim during its eight-week London run in 2007. In addition to the rave reviews, Radcliffe wowed audiences by stripping down to the nude and proving that Harry Potter was all grown up.
The first revival of Peter Shaffer’s Tony Award winning play since its original run from 1974 – 1977, Radcliffe’s slated for his Broadway debut with a 22-week run as Alan Strang, the sexually aberrant teen who blinds six horses.
Joining Radcliffe, 18,for the New York City production is his Harry Potter co-star Richard Griffiths who plays Harry’s Uncle Vernon in the series as psychologist Dr. Martin Dysart.
“It will be amazing, but I will be terrified because I was talking to Richard Griffiths about playing New York and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences,” Radcliffe told Reuters in an interview last September. “I would be very nervous because I think (the audiences are) even more discerning than in London.”
While Radcliffe’s new to New York audiences, Griffiths, who’s also reprising his role from Equus’ London run, cut his teeth on Broadway in the 2006 production of The History Boys.

The actress already has one home in the city and has recently been spotted hunting for another.

 Life & Style magazine reports that after catching “Idol Gives Back” on TV Wednesday evening, singer Britney Spears decided to donate $25,000 to the charity fundraiser.
“Miss American Dream” had gotten permission from dad, Jamie Spears, who is currently her conservator, before making the contribution and charging the donation to her Amex.
“She did it all on her own. She watched the show and cried for like two hours over the children in Africa with malaria,” revealed a source.
She didn’t know much about the disease, so she Googled it.
She was horrified to realize kids were dying from mosquito bites.

 A representative for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the “couple is proud to announce that there has been a new addition to their loving family.
“Angelina and Brad have adopted an adorable Taiwanese boy and can’t wait to take him home and show him all the love that he deserves.” The representative later confirmed that the Taiwanese boy in question is acclaimed director Ang Lee.
Jolie consented to a telephone interview on Wednesday. “You know,” she said, “there are so many children in this world who never receive the kinds of care and opportunities that they deserve. Every child should have the chance to become anything they can dream of - from an astronaut to an Academy Award-winning director.”
“But unfortunately,” continued the gaunt actress, “geography and geopolitics have conspired against so many children. Just because they were born in a poor or unstable country, many promising young minds will never get to do marvelous things, such as earn a master’s of fine arts from New York University.”

Los Angeles - Singer Beyonce has given a huge hint that she did in fact get married to rap mogul Jaz-Z, People reported Thursday.
The celebrity magazine said that Beyonce was spotted wearing an enormous rock on her left ring finger Tuesday night at Jay’s concert with Mary J Blige at Atlanta’s Philips Arena.

 Not that Angelina Jolie’s bulging, pregnant belly was much of a secret, but the Tomb Raider star has finally confirmed her pregnancy.
The 32-year-old Taking Lives actress told People that she “felt kicking suddenly” while in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday for political matters.
Jolie was on the topic of the Iran education policy when she felt the kicking.
This is the Jolie’s second pregnancy with her Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Brad Pitt.
The two already have three adoptive children and one biological daughter in their ever-growing family.

Tom Cruise’s World War II thriller “Valkyrie” has pushed back its release date to 2009, the second postponement for a production that has endured its share of headaches.
The MGM release has been moved from October 3 to February 13, coinciding with the U.S. Presidents Day holiday weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Judi Dench and Nicole Kidman are said to be in talks to join Javier Bardem and his girlfriend Penelope Cruz (pictured together with Salma Hayek, right) in the film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Nine. The show, first staged in 1982, was an adaptation of Fellini’s 8 1/2 and is about a film director (Bardem) juggling the demands of the many women in his life.
Kidman, who is due to have a baby before filming starts in September, sang and danced in Moulin Rouge. Dench, best known to international film-goers for her portrayal of M in recent Bond movies, has plenty of musical experience. She played Sally Bowles in the original London production of Cabaret in 1968, and won the 1995 Olivier Award for the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music.

 It is being reported that for her upcoming movie, in which she plays a sex-starved waitress Lindsay Lohan will be shooting a number of nude scenes.
The movie is called Florence, and according to a report in Star Mag she will be paid no more than 75000 dollars for her role.
“She just wants to remind people she can act and she’s worth hiring,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
There is no date yet announced for the releasing of the film.
For the 21 year old actress, this ploy is the latest attempt to keep her name on the lips of millions, and one can bet that when the movie is released, lineups at the box office will be quite long.

Kirsten Dunst has reportedly been released from rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah and has been spotted in New York City.
In Touch reported earlier this week that Dunst had been calling friends to apologize for her behavior while she was drinking. The report also claimed that she called Tobey McGuire, ex-boyfriend and co-star in the “Spiderman” movies.
