With a sprinkling of movie magic - the trailer for the new Harry Potter film has been unveiled.The sixth big screen instalment, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, sees the famous teenage wizard plunge even darker depths as he joins Professor Dumbledore in his quest to take on evil Lord Voldemort.
The promo shows the Headteacher of Hogwarts give Harry a history lesson as they look back over Voldemort’s life for clues on how to take on “the darkest wizard of all time” in the future.Keeping it in the family - the young actor playing an eleven-year-old Voldemort, or Tom Riddle as he was then known, is actually Ralph Fiennes’ nephew Hero Fiennes-Tiffin.

Hollywood heavyweights Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas go head to head in a movie called ‘The Other Man’ now filming in London. With Laura Linney in the middle of these two alpha males and a tantalizing plot, we’re hoping this one delivers…
Irish actor Liam Neeson is fast becoming the finest actor of his generation. He has really come into his own of late… His roles have been hit and miss since ‘Schindler’s List’ but he reinvented himself as Henri Ducard in ‘Batman Begins’. Big Liam is one of those rare thespians who attract people to the cinema just because he’s in a particular film. We don’t care what the movie is - if Liam’s in it, we’re there.
Neeson’s next move, after this one, will see him bidding for Oscar glory when he teams up again with Steven Spielberg on the epic ‘Lincoln’ - one of the most anticipated movies of the last five years… It’s going to be HUGE folks!
But before he steps into Abe’s big boots, Liam is chasing down Antonio Banderas in ‘The Other Man’. A tale of adultery, suspicion and the elusive spectre of the other man in the life of Neeson’s wife.

Tom Cruise’s World War II thriller “Valkyrie” has pushed back its release date to 2009, the second postponement for a production that has endured its share of headaches.
The MGM release has been moved from October 3 to February 13, coinciding with the U.S. Presidents Day holiday weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kirsten Dunst has reportedly been released from rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah and has been spotted in New York City.
In Touch reported earlier this week that Dunst had been calling friends to apologize for her behavior while she was drinking. The report also claimed that she called Tobey McGuire, ex-boyfriend and co-star in the “Spiderman” movies.

Brad Pitt is being lined up to play British explorer Percy Fawcett, who disappeared in the Amazon jungle in 1925 during an expedition to find a lost city.
Pitt, 44, has expressed an interest in producing and starring in Lost City of Z which tells the story of Fawcett’s ill-fated mission 83 years ago, entertainment industry journal Daily Variety reported.

Himesh has had enough of his status as a one-man music industry. At least for now.
In his forthcoming films he wants to introduce at least one new singer in each one of his forthcoming starrers.
Himesh feels he owes it to the industry. “I think I must give new talent to the music industry because even I was a newcomer once. And fresh untried talent always works since my music usually caters to a younger audience which is always on the look-out for fresh unconventional voices.”
For Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke which is a love triangle Himesh intends to introduce new singing talent for the two leading ladies Niharika Singh and Jennifer Kotwal. “I came across some mindblowing female voices while I was judging Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.I’ll be using these for M2KNDM2K”.
On Friday Himesh Reshammiya recorded his 75th song.
“I’ve already released fifty songs and I intend to use the twenty-five songs that I’ve in my music bank for the four films Karzzzz, Kajraare, A Love Iiisshtory and Mudh Nudh Ke Na Dekh that I’m starring in.”

Tom Cruise surprised cast and crew on set of the new ‘Star Trek’ movie this week, after stopping by to see pal J.J. Abrams.
Cruise’s visit fueled rumors the actor, 45, would be making a cameo in the new Sci-Fi flick.
“Tom visited the set of the movie and chatted with J.J. Abrams,” a source close to the actor tells MSNBC.com’s The Scoop.
The last time the ‘Top Gun’ star was set of a movie he wasn’t said to be signed on for — Tropic Thunder — it turned out he had a small role.
The visit to the Star Trek set, however, was for pleasure, not business.
“He asked J.J. if there’s a way he can meet Leonard Nimoy. He said he’d always really respected his work,” said the source.

Loopy Lindsay Lohan’s career has taken a further nose dive as her latest film Chapter 27 has been slammed by critics, whilst Britney Spears seems to have made a major u-turn back to normality. We give it a week.
What does any self respecting desperado do when their career hits the shit??? Well, like many others before her *cough* Paris. Cue, dodgy sex tape somehow finding its way onto the internet without any knowledge of the main characters.
Lohan’s latest movie disaster coincides nicely with the appearance of a sex tape featuring the lovely Lindsay performing a sex act on ‘man slag’, ex beau and all round shag monster Calum Best. Apparently Mr ‘Been Around The block’ Best filmed the act on his phone, sent it to a friend who then nearly a year down the line and totally out of the blue decided to put it on the net.
A claim denied by Calum’s people; “Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not Calum on the tape”. Silly us of course it isn’t, a simple BJ is far too innocent for Calum. We all know he allegedly prefers cocaine fuelled romps with prostitutes / trannies / Rebecca Loos ie. anyone with a pulse.

Daniel Radcliffe’s co-star, in the theater production of Equus, is suing him for child support. It appears that in one the “sex” scenes, young Daniel got a little carried away. Now his co-star has given birth to his child.
When asked if Daniel really is the father, a spokesperson for the co-star said, “Of this there is no doubt. This child looks just like Daniel, he even has a lightning bolt on his forehead. However, we believe this came from his mother. The little one has he same wild mane of dark hair and an enormously large penis for one so young. We believe he is a throwback.”
We tried to speak with the Equus star, Daddy’s LIttle Princess, but the mare couldn’t be reached for comment. However, we were able to find out from her ‘whisperer’ that the foals name is Harry Potter’s Love Child.
Rumor has it the child will have a bit part in the last Harry Potter film, as one of the centaurs.

Lindsay Lohan allegedly threw a tantrum when she was asked to promote rival Paris Hilton’s fashion line.
Lohan agreed to appear at an event to push the Scandinavian Style Mansion in Los Angeles, according to U.S reports.
But when she arrived at the glitzy event she discovered she would actually be helping promote Hilton’s own accessories line.
An unimpressed Lohan then ordered her flacks to have all of the adverts with Hilton’s name on them removed, it was claimed.
“Why would Lindsay ever walk down a carpet of another celebrity’s fashion line when she was never told before the event?” a pal told Life & Style magazine.

The news is in! The last Harry Potter film, The Deathly Hallows, will be split into two parts, with the first due out in 2010.
Well, I’m sure Emma Watson will be delighted to reprise the role of Hermione Granger. But she’ll probably be slightly less excited about donning her character’s dodgy wardrobe for another two films.
Emma, seen here at the Empire Film Awards looking stunning in a gorgeous strapless white number, is clearly worlds apart from her character Hermione. Y’know, the one who prefers less ‘chic’, more ‘geek’? Although there is a hint of Hermione coming through though with those less than spellbinding sandals…
I wonder whether Emma will try and inject her favourite Chanel, or some Dior gear into her wizarding wardrobe? Let’s face it, anything’s better than those hideous Weasley jumpers.
Hold up, Emma - only three films to go!

Daniel Radcliffe says he “had an inkling” that one of cinema’s biggest franchises would cleave its finale into two films, but still cheers the official decision to turn Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into a two-part series-ender. “It’s a really positive thing,” the actor told TV Guide during a call to promote Masterpiece Classic: My Boy Jack (airing April 20 on PBS). “And I think the fans will appreciate that more than had we tried to make it into one film. We’d have to cram so much in there and actually have to skip over some things. And in this seventh book, there are a lot of things you can’t afford to skip over.”
